COD’s Graphic Design Program will host Portfolios 2019 on May 9

On Thursday, May 9, the College of DuPage Graphic Design Program will host Portfolios 2019, celebrating the graphic design work of COD and DuPage County high school students. It will be 6 to 9 p.m. at the Student Resource Center, room 2000, on the college’s Glen Ellyn campus.

COD students currently enrolled in the Portfolio Seminar course will present and discuss the work developed during their time in the program.

Original work includes graphic design, illustrations, advertising campaigns, and web design.

The 13th annual event also includes an awards ceremony.

Graphic design students will receive top prizes and prizes in the categories of portfolio, identity design, publication design, illustration, 3-D design, and web design. In the high school competition, first place prizes, honorable mentions and prizes will be awarded in the illustration and graphic design categories.

“This platform has proven to be a great place for students to showcase their creative skills to hundreds of their peers, families, industry leaders and community members,” said David Rogers, professor of design. COD graphic. “The portfolios have grown significantly which has created a great networking opportunity for everyone involved. “
